Claims process for when your car breaks down

At CoverageX, we know that when the unexpected happens, you want help fast—and without any added stress. That’s why we’ve made our claims process as simple, transparent, and customer-friendly as possible. Whether you’ve had a breakdown or other covered event, we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

1. Find a Repair Shop

In the event of a breakdown, move the vehicle out of immediate harm’s way as best as you can.

Call our 24-hour roadside assistance hotline: 1-800-209-3387 and we will tow you to the nearest certified mechanic.

2. Car Rental

While your vehicle is at the shop you may be entitled to a rental vehicle reimbursement depending on the level of your coverage.

3. Get Approval

Once at the repair facility, let your service advisor know you have a warranty, and instruct them to
call 1-800-209-3387.

Our claims team will then work with your repair facility directly, and begin the adjudication process. The service advisor will provide our team with a repair order & estimate for what needs to be replaced, and we will take care of the rest.

4. Payment

As soon as our team has completed the adjudication process and confirmed your claim is approved, we will issue an authorization number to you and the repair facility to complete the repair.

You will pay any applicable deductibles or ancillary costs to the repair facility, and we will pay the remaining balance directly to the repair facility. You’ll be back on the road in no time.
