Claims process for when your car breaks down

At CoverageX, we know that when the unexpected happens, you want help fast—and without any added stress. That's why we've made our claims process as simple, transparent, and customer-friendly as possible.

Step 1

Contact Our Claims Department​

In the event of a mechanical failure, move your vehicle out of immediate harm's way.

Contact our claims department during normal business hours to have a claims advisor assist you with finding a reputable licensed repair center, to get roadside assistance to have your vehicle towed and a rental car.

If your mechanical failure occurs outside of business hours,  contact our 24/7 roadside assistance number: 888-899-7623 to get the assistance you need.​

Step 2

Car Rental

Once your vehicle has arrived at the repair center, tell the Service Advisor that you have a protection plan with CoverageX and ask them to contact our claims department. Provide them with the claims number: 1-888-984-6493 ​.

Now that your vehicle is at the repair center and our claims team has spoken to the Service Advisor, if a rental car is needed, please call our claims department about getting a rental car so you can get back on the road while your vehicle is being repaired.

Step 3

Get Approval

Our Claims Advisors work directly with the repair facility during the diagnostic process to determine coverage. Once your claim is approved, a Claims Advisor will contact you to confirm the approval and next steps.​

CoverageX pays the repair center directly for all approved repairs. You’re only responsible for your deductible, which is paid directly to the shop at the time of service.​

Step 4

Payment

As soon as our team has completed the adjudication process and confirmed your claim is approved, we will issue an authorization number to you and the repair facility to complete the repair.

You will pay any applicable deductibles or ancillary costs to the repair facility, and we will pay the remaining balance directly to the repair facility. You’ll be back on the road in no time.
